He’s done it! Hallamshire member Jason Howard has completed the ‘World’s Toughest Row’ across the Atlantic Ocean...
The team have been rowing two hours on, two hours off, 24 hours a day, across 3000 miles of open water since December 11th. It started from La Gomera in the Canary Islands across the Atlantic Ocean to Nelson’s Dockyard in Antigua, so it’s an incredible achievement by all of them.
The journey was not just a test of endurance but an opportunity to educate others on health and sustainability – called “Lessons from a Boat” – whilst raising £300,000 for their chosen charities Cancer Research UK, Diabetes UK and The Final Straw.
A huge well done to Jason and his team from everyone at Hallamshire Golf Club!
