Hallamshire Golf Club is seeking a fully qualified PGA professional for the role of Assistant Head Professional.
Hallamshire Golf Club is a one of the most highly rated courses in the North of England featuring a rich architectural heritage with its design having been influenced by Alistair MacKenzie, Herbert Fowler and latterly Harry Colt & Associates. It is renowned for its excellent conditioning and being a breeding ground for successful golfers.
Working with our incumbent Head Professional, Joe Froggatt, the successful applicant will have responsibilities across all the key professional services of our busy and highly respected Member’s Club.
We are seeking a confident, friendly, and motivated Professional who is committed to going the extra mile to ensure that members and visitors to the Club enjoy the best experience.
Duties include (but are not limited to);
· purchasing, inventory management, merchandising and retail (including custom-fitting),
· competition management, co-ordination of external golf days,
· training and support of junior staff members
· Playing with members
In addition to the salaried pro-shop commitment of 30 hours per week (annualised over the year), our new Assistant Head Professional will have access to a full cohort of 550 playing members, over 95% of whom live within just a few minutes of the club, to enable the opportunity to build a successful coaching business (self-employed) which, due to our new (November 2023) two-bay indoor Trackman facility, is sustainable all year-round.
