Welcome to the new look Hallamshire Golf Club web site which has been put together to give you the lastest news, gossip and statistics. This site is an interactive one and your input is not just welcome, it is vital.
Gordon Bramah and his team derserve medals for what they are doing at the moment given the weather but has anyone thought about David in the kitchen and what about Geoff, surely there can never have been a worse time to be a golf professional?
That my readers is history and now we can look forward to another excellent years golf at Sheffields finest. Enjoy your golf, enjoy the web site but above all, remember its just a game!

Nick,
Wow! This is a bit more like the website we all envisaged when it was first announced, well done!
I hope someone is tasked (Bob?) to keep the website updated on a daily basis, as there is nothing worse than old news and articles on golf club websites. Could the course status be announced each day for instance as is the case at some other clubs?
Are there any plans to introduce a interactive course guide showing each hole separately and maybe some pro’s tips for playing them? This again is fairly standard on most good websites. I realise there are budgets to be adhered to but as a regular player of other courses I know what attracts me to play at other clubs. Apart from reputation, the first port of call is always the club website and they almost always these days have a hole by hole guide to the course.
Please pass on my congratulations to the rest of the marketing commitee for the work so far.
Regards,
Malcolm

Thank you for your kind words and its nice to see you approve, I just hope you are not the only one.
A web site is always a ‘work in hand’ and ours is no exception and yes the idea is to keep it as up to date as possible. Some of the things you allude to are in hand, other will take a little longer.
Cost is an issue, but hopefully we can address this as the clubs finances continue to improve.
Thanks again.
Nick
Nick,
I was very impressed when I logged on to our new look website. It is clear that a great deal of work has been put into developing it over the winter and there can be no doubt that it will prove to be a very effective way of communicating Club news and events to members.
There is also good information for visitors, although I do agree with Malcolm Gregg that a descriptive hole by hole gallery would be good to see, in due course. Nevertheless, this is a positive step to promoting the Club more widely and I hope that your efforts and those of others, will be rewarded by seeing the sustained increase in our visitor income which the Board is seeking and which is crucial to the future financial health of Hallamshire.
I join Malcolm in passing my appreciation and congratulations to those involved.
Regards,
David
