Our newly refurbished lounge plus adjacent veranda and excellent dining room (see photos below) provide a fine venue for diverse kinds of social functions – business meetings, birthday celebrations, wedding receptions, receptions after christenings and funerals , etc.
The Secretary will be pleased to discuss your requirements and supply sample menus. For an initial guide click here for suggested menus. The catering and bar staff have a well-deserved excellent reputation for supplying excellent food, wine and real ales, at very reasonable prices. Bar lunches are available from noon until 4pm. Where possible all food is locally sourced, freshly prepared and sure to please.
The Clubhouse opening hours vary depending on the time of year but if you have any special requirements or would like to hold an evening function, then please do not hesitate to contact the Secretary and we will do our best to accommodate you.

Main Lounge - newly refurbished, March 2012
The much talked about lounge refurbishment is now a reality, bringing a new dimension to Hallamshire Golf Club. The work has completely modernised the clubhouse, with new furniture, a remodelled bar area and veranda.
Soft furnishings makes the area very welcoming after a round, or just to relax and entertain friends and business contacts.

There was an official launch of the new facilities at on March 25 by our distinguished honorary member, the Ladies’ European Captain, Alison Nicholas.
Miles Pierce, Chair of House Committee, is delighted with the new look. He said: “A long awaited renovation of the Club’s facilities is now complete and provides a relaxing and enjoyable experience to match the quality of the renowned course. The club is delighted to have the facility for members and visitors alike.”
